These bundles add capabilities that almost all engineers need for embedded systems design. 4, 5 or 61 Series MSOs equipped with a Starter Bundle (for example, 4-STARTER-PER) will be able to decode and trigger on I2C, SPI, RS-232/422/485/UART bus activity. Includes an integrated arbitrary/function generator with 13 predefined functions and arbitrary waveforms.

Perpetual: Indefinite (includes maintenance for the first 12 mos, Use the software indefinitely, no expiration. Comes with complimentary 12-month maintenance license. If a Perpetual License goes out of maintenance, all features will be frozen to the last released version before the maintenance expired. The software will continue to work, but you cannot get any updates newer than the maintenance license expiry date.
