This new probe is designed for engineers who need to measure current in high power designs such as power supplies and inverters, as well as low power designs such as mobile and IoT devices. For these applications, probes such as the TICP Series, which are designed for using shunt resistors or current viewing resistors, are superior to traditional clamp-on current probes.
The TICP Series isolated current probes deliver exceptional bandwidth, noise rejection, accuracy, and ease of use for making current measurements. With interchangeable tips, they offer versatile connectivity and a range of current measurement options

Available with three bandwidths - 1 GHz, 500 MHz, and 250 MHz - the TICP Series is compatible with 4, 5 and 6 Series MSO oscilloscopes, including the latest B models.
The TICP probe with its low-impedance architecture, minimizes capacitive loading, making them ideal for connecting across the current shunts. The probes include a variety of attenuation tips to extend the differential voltage range, accommodating current measurements from microamperes (uA) for low-power mobile designs to kiloamperes (kA) for industrial and mobility systems. Additionally, the probe is equipped with an SMA adapter for connecting to popular shunts and an MMCX to square pin adapter for shunts with a square pin interface.
The probe is connected across the Rshunt (shunt resistor) and measures the voltage across the shunt to derive the current using the Ohm’s law (V=IR)
