Our Philadelphia lab is one of Transcat’s premier labs with one of the largest scopes of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations. Along with its general purpose capabilities, it is one of two Transcat labs that offers highly accurate Reference Level Temperature calibrations from -200°C to 500 °C. In addition, the lab offers mass/weight calibrations in accordance to ANSI/ASTM E617, up to Class 1, in our state of the art Reference Mass Lab with capabilities from 1 mg to 25 kg. The Philadelphia lab is our only lab location to provide illuminance calibrations with traceability directly to SI units through NIST and can calibrate Light Meters up to 32,300 lux. Additionally, we offer gas flow calibrations from 2 sccm up to 1200 slpm.

The Philadelphia lab is also one of two Transcat labs that offers Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave calibrations up to 50 GHz. The expansion of this capability to the East Coast allows for closer support of our customers with very specialized and critical applications in highly regulated industries, such high-speed communications, medical, aerospace, and defense. Our accredited RF and Microwave calibrations ensure compliance to these highly regulated standards and are directly traceable to the SI units through NIST.

Over 25% of our technicians have earned the Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) designation from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The lab is a new 15,400 square foot facility located in Southern New Jersey, within minutes of Philadelphia. We also have two dedicated vans and drivers that provide free pick-up and delivery services: available from Washington D.C. to New York City.

Accredited Reference Level Capabilities

We also offer Reference Level Calibrations in multiple disciplines with faster turnaround than the OEM. Few commercial calibration operations are willing or able to develop the quality systems that allow Transcat to offer ISO/IEC 17025 accredited reference level calibrations. In fact, Transcat is one of a select few commercial calibration operations qualified to be accredited as a Reference Laboratory in the disciplines of Temperature, Electrical, Pressure, Dimensional, Mass and Humidity.
